Northfield horsemen to aid Logan Boylen

by Amy Hollar

Northfield, OH — Logan Boylen, a 14-year-old Barberton, Ohio high school student and avid band member has begun the fight of his life against leukemia. Barberton is a small community located in northeast Ohio close to Northfield Park.

Due to Logan’s treatment and risk of infection he will need to use a different toothbrush every day for the next three years.

Spearheaded by caretaker Keith Taylor, the horsemen at Northfield Park would like to take the opportunity to help Logan out during Ohio’s richest night of racing, Ohio Sire Stakes Super Night this Saturday (Sept. 3).

We are asking donations of new unopened toothbrushes be brought into the OHHA office to be given to Logan, along with new harness racing t-shirts, extra-large, which he can comfortably wear during his hospital stays.

Toothbrush and t-shirt donations may be made anytime this week leading up to the big event on Saturday.
