Northfield Park trainer Jarrod Duncan, 39, dies

Northfield, OH — Northfield Park trainer Jarrod Duncan, 39, died of apparent natural causes on Wednesday (March 5).

“It is very sad and hard to believe,” said Dave Bianconi, Northfield Park Executive Vice President of Racing and Simulcasting. “He was a great guy and a hard worker. He will be missed by many.”

Mr. Duncan began training in 2005 and had since garnered 254 victories and earned purses of $1,238,111. He was a native of Indiana and raced exclusively in the midwest. He most recently trained a stable of four horses including African Violet, Go Forit BB, Life In The Sand and Shelby Lu.

Funeral arrangements have not yet been made.
