Northfield’s 20-cent Super High Five payoff is largest in track’s history

Northfield, OH — Northfield Park’s 20-cent Super High Five paid a whopping $35,551.68 Tuesday (Nov. 27), which was the largest High Five payout in the track’s history.

The ticket was led by No. 10 Santa’s Special (David Lake) at odds of 48-1, followed by No. 9 Ardeen (Dan Kennedy) at 24-1, No. 5 Brian J (Chris Lems) at 1-1, No. 6 Dafinaty (Ronnie Wrenn Jr.) at 9-5, and No. 2 Pugilist Blue Chip (Keith Kash Jr.) at 34-1.

The evening’s bet had a carryover of $7,092, which sparked a $30,000 total guaranteed pool and attracted wagers of $33,098.

Northfield offers the 20-cent Super High Five nightly in the 13th race. The wager carries a $10,000 standard guaranteed pool each Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
