Freehold, NJ — The closing of Freehold Raceway on Saturday (Dec. 28), also marked the end of the long-time track photography business of the late John Pantalone’s World Wide Racing Photos.
Pantalone founded the business in 1972, serving as track photographer for Liberty Park, Atlantic city, Garden State Park, Rosecroft and Harrah’s Chester. He added Freehold to his photography business in 2004.
During his career he battled kidney failure, dialysis and received a transplant in 1999, but passed away in 2019.
Pantalone’s widow Pat, who kept the business and his legacy going in his memory, announced that with the closing of Freehold, World Wide Racing Photos would cease operations.
Pat recalled that John’s motto was “quick delivery of a quality product”.
