NYSS pacing fillies head to Tioga on Sunday

Nichols, NY – Tioga Downs plays host to two divisions of the New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) for sophomore pacing fillies on Sunday (June 2).

Tarrific (Jason Bartlett) is the 8-5 morning line favorite in the $58,100 first division. The filly by Huntsville has four seconds and a third in nine career starts. She is trained by Chris Ryder.

Her top competitor appears to be the Jeffrey Smith trained Verity Blue Chip (Jim Marohn Jr.). The filly by Courtly Choice is two for two in her young career.

Camerican (Joe Bongiorno) is the 5-2 favorite in the $59,200 second division. The filly by American Ideal is trained by Ron Burke. She is one for one in 2024 and has four career victories.

Leanne’s Choice (Marcus Miller) is her top rival. Trained by Erv Miller, the filly by Courtly Choice has three career wins.

The 15-race card starts at 1 p.m.
