Monroe, OH – Oh Look Magic continued his winning ways going wire to wire in tonight’s (Feb. 11) $36,000 Open Handicap.

Starting from his assigned post seven, 1/5 favorite Oh Look Magic left from the wings and moved easily to the front in :28.3. From there the field stayed single file past a pedestrian half in :57.2. As they moved into the backstretch, Chris Page gave the word go and Oh Look Magic quickly responded and scooted away by four lengths. As they neared the three quarter (1:25.3), Abbey D pulled first over from fourth but never came close to challenging for the lead, merely entering into a battle for second with pocket-sitter Sayinwhatimthinkin. From the final turn to the wire, Oh Look Magic was under wraps and cruised home to win by two lengths in 1:53.3. Sayinwhatimthinkin held on for second, Abbey D was third.
The win was the third in four starts at Miami Valley for Oh Look Magic as he continues to dominate the Open ranks.
David Miller became Harness Racing’s leading driver by earnings on Wednesday night with a third place finish in race two with My Next Chapter. He’s supplanted the great John Campbell as the sport’s new number one.
Driver’s Brett Miller and Chris Page each recorded a grand slam on the card. Ron Burke had a training double.
