Lebanon, OH – Oh Look Magic won his fourth straight Open Trot, but had to work hard to do it in the $36,000 feature at Miami Valley Raceway on Wednesday night (March 4).

Starting from his assigned post seven, Oh Look Magic drifted out off the wings of the starting gate to find Legacy Affair and Adamsville Road fighting to his inside for the early lead. Content to settle in third, Oh Look Magic watched Legacy Affair establish the lead while Adamsville Road settled in the pocket past an opening quarter of :27.1.
The field stayed single file past the half in :56, but as they turned up the backside, Oh Look Magic pulled first-over to begin his charge. As they passed three-quarters in 1:23.4, Oh Look Magic drew even with Legacy Affair as the pair now battled nose to nose around the final turn.
As they turned for home, Oh Look Magic took a half-length lead over Legacy Affair as Adamsville Road began to pressure from the outside and Sayinwhatimthinkin slipped up the inside to challenge from fourth. At the wire, it was Oh Look Magic holding off a hard-charging Adamsville Road and Sayinwhatimthinkin by a half-length in 1:52.4.
For Oh Look Magic, it was his fourth win in a row at Miami Valley and his fifth in seven starts this season. The win pushed his 2026 earnings to $103,500, which leads all horses in North America. Five of the top 10 money-winning horses in North America are Miami Valley regulars.
Chris Page continued his hot hand by picking up four winners, including Oh Look Magic for trainer Ron Burke, on Wednesday’s card after having three on Tuesday. The Page/Burke connection won three on the card. David Miller had a driving triple and Virgil Morgan Jr. had a training double.
The racing week will close on Thursday (March 5) with a post time of 4 p.m. (EST).
