OHHA Executive Director receives USTA President’s Award

Grove City, OH – Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association Executive Director Renee Mancino has been awarded the United States Trotting Association’s President Award. The award was presented at the USTA Annual Meeting in Columbus.

USTA President Russell Wilson presented the award to Mancino for her “Outstanding leadership and dedicated service to the Standardbred horse and horsemen.” The USTA cited Mancino for her exemplary commitment to the growth of the harness racing industry and her compassion for equine athletes.

Mancino says she is honored to receive the prestigious award, “Being raised in the horse racing business and spending a lifetime of service to the sport, it doesn’t seem quite right to get an award for something that comes so effortlessly for me, being a horsemen’s representative and a horse lover.”

Mancino says all she ever wanted to do was be around these beautiful equine athletes.

Mancino was named the Executive Director of the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association in 2014.
