Delaware, OH — Some fine racing continued on Monday (Sept. 17) as the Ohio Fair Racing Conference colts and fillies held center stage at the historic Delaware County Fairgrounds.

The Hanover Shoe Farms OFRC for 2-year-old trotting fillies were held in three $4,334 divisions and the young lasses stepped it up on the historic oval with Bang as the Gavin Bixler-conditioned daughter of Winning Fireworks clipped off a new lifetime mark of 2:01.1h with Kayne Kauffman aboard.

Robert McCormick’s Triumphant Swing (Mike Wilder) would open up by eight as the Triumphant Caviar juvenile would take a new tab of 1:59.4h in the second division and the third division would go to Fred Polk’s Abequa in 2:01.2 as Hugh Beatty put a lifetime standard on the Dale Edwards-trained Neely Dunn offspring.

Dan Noble would grab the first of his three wins with John Wengerd and Marion Chopp’s Only Caviar’s (Triumphant Caviar) when the 3-year-old filly took the first $3,900 OFRC division in 1:59.2h as Gertie Jean (Pierce Henry) and Cindernellysgirl (Duke Sugg) would be on the board with her.

Tyler Rush would guide Merrill Murray’s Chelsees A Winner (Big Rigs) as the Clem Lee Jr.-conditioned 3-year-old would trot to a new tab of 1:58.4h by four in her $3,900 OFRC division.

The $12,000 Signature Series Trot final would see the Joe Putnam co-owned and trained Sum It Up (Joey Putnam) leave nothing to chance as he would trot off by himself in 1:57.2h as he bested Ronan with Dan Noble, Herbie L and Chris Page, and the rest of the seven-horse field.
