The legendary Norwegian harness racing driver, Ulf Thoresen, is commemorated every year at his home track, Jarlsberg, with a major race, the Ulf Thoresen Grand International, which has a first prize of $80,000.
A strong field competed in the race on Sunday afternoon, and for the second year in a row, Swedish Ônas Prince (sired by Chocolatier) with trainer/driver Per Nordström in the bike won the race.
Ônas Prince was the fastest from the start and led until the finish line was crossed – the winning time was 1:53.1f (mile rate). In second place was Daim Brodda with Eirik Høitomt, while Kentucky River with Ôrjan Kihlström finished third.
