One Eight Hundred delivers at Pocono in Weiss Series

Wilkes-Barre, PA — One Eight Hundred, a 3-year-old colt who is the progeny of world champions Somebeachsomewhere-Economy Terror, soared to take his first start in 2021 in 1:50.2 in one of five $17,500 prelimary rounds of the Bobby Weiss Series at The Downs at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs on Saturday (April 3). The other victors were Coalition Hanover, Tarkio, Mad Man Hill and Straight Talk.

The Weiss Series for trotters was for the same purse amount as the pacers and the winners were Top Me Off, Tricky Dick, and Hoolie N Hector.

Top Me Off is trained by Todd Schadel and is co-owned by his wife, Christine, and Rick and Regina Beinhauer.

Jim Gettigan owns and trains Tricky Dick, who was driven to victory by Anthony Napolitano Jr. in a second trotting division of the series in 1:56.

The third division went to Hoolie N Hector, who trotted in 1:57 with Adam Adamczyk holding the lines.

Pocono will race on Sunday at 5 p.m.

The Weiss Series for pacers continues on Monday with the fillies competing on Tuesday.
