OSAS to toast Jack Darling

from the Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society

Campbellville, ON — The Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society is presenting an evening at the races — a toast to Jack Darling — on September 15, 2008.

The Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society is a registered charity, registered in 1995, whose mandate is to assist in offering retraining to Standardbred racehorses for second careers in the riding industry. To date the OSAS has saved close to 400 horses.

Organizations like OSAS cannot exist without the generous support of our peers and the people and organizations who step up to help when we are in need. Jack Darling was one of those people who stepped up for OSAS when it was most in need. We would like to raise a toast to him and invite you to join us for an evening at the races on September 15, 2008, at Mohawk Racetrack. Cocktails will be at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 per person.

OSAS is looking for the industry to get involved at the level of race, title or presenting sponsor. As a registered charity your support is tax deductible and very much appreciated.

For details about the level of sponsorship and the benefits available for each sponsor (some of which include a chance to dine with our mystery celebrity or a once in a lifetime opportunity to ride in the start car).

The event will be covered by The Score and your sponsorship will include a presentation in the winner’s circle. Please contact Dianne Denby at (519) 536-7987.

OSAS is also asking for donations for their live and silent auction. Perhaps you have a cottage or a condo that you could offer for a weekend? Possibly you have hidden talents as a gourmet chef and would auction your talents for an evening? Do you have a stallion service that you could donate? Are you a photographer or a painter who could donate a piece of art? Donations are limited only to your imagination!

To donate an item or to purchase dinner tickets please contact the OSAS office at (905) 854-6099.
