OSS eligible yearlings must be registered at time of nomination

by Karen Hauver, OSS Administration Coordinator

Toronto, ON — Owners of yearlings eligible to be nominated to the Ontario Sires Stakes should be aware that yearlings must be registered by Standardbred Canada or the USTA by the May 15 deadline.

As in previous years, yearlings not registered at that time will not be accepted into the OSS program at the C$100 nomination fee.

All paperwork and fees, as well as mating certificates, must be submitted and processed by the deadline. Please note that foals being registered with Standardbred Canada will not be registered until the DNA process has been completed.

If you have not submitted your forms or have a foal that has not yet been parentage verified, please be sure to contact Standardbred Canada to make arrangements.

For more information on the OSS program please contact Karen Hauver, OSS Administration Coordinator, 519.369.3545, e-mail: records@ontariosiresstakes.com or visit the website at www.ontariosiresstakes.com.
