York, PA — The PA Fair Circuit went under the lights for the first time this season, with a 15-race card on Monday (September 12) at the York Fairgrounds, featuring sophomores in stakes action.
Steve Schoeffel picked up four driving victories on the card, while Roger Hammer added three.

Cadence Hall was a winner in 2:03.2.
Sapphire City, trained and reined by Todd Schadel, posted the night’s fastest mile, pacing in 2:00 to win a PA Sire Stake 3-year-old colt pace. The Metropolitan colt, owned by Schadel and Hammer, won for just the second time this season in 18 starts, and is now 1-for-3 on the fair circuit in 2011.
Cadence Hall posted the night’s fastest trotting mile, timed in 2:03.2, in a division of the PASS sophomore colt trot. Steve Schoeffel catch-drove for owner Susan Daugherty and trainer Bill Daugherty, Jr. Cadence Hall is a son of Chip Chip Hooray, and has now won half of his 20 starts on the year.
Action at York will continue on Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m., with 15 stakes for freshmen.
