Optrix became the first horse to pay over $50 to win twice at the 2023 meet at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania on Monday (July 17), making a strong backstretch move to the lead and going on for a new lifetime mark of 1:55.1.

A quartet of divisions of Maine Sire Stakes for 2- and 3-year-old trotters put in their respective miles on Sunday (July 16) afternoon at Bangor, over a rain-soaked surface.

Woodbine Entertainment and Adriano Sorella have provided an update on the date and conditions for the inaugural Jimmy Freight Stakes. Initially announced in December 2019, the inaugural Jimmy Freight Stakes is scheduled for Saturday (Oct. 7) at Woodbine Mohawk Park. The race and C$100,000 purse are sponsored by Adriano Sorella.
