Fields drawn for $2.4 million Night of Champions at Batavia Downs
The draw for the $2.4 million New York Sire Stake finals is complete and 61 of the top state-bred 2- and 3-year old trotters and pacers have been declared and will go postward at Batavia Downs on Saturday (Sept. 6). The eight divisions will be contested for $300,000 each and the first race on Saturday is a 6 p.m.
Apex aims for the top in NJ Classic at Big M
Aside from getting a little lost on his first trip away home, Apex has done little wrong in his rookie season for trainer Marcus Melander. The son of Walner-Mission Brief captured the New Jersey Sire Stakes championship for 2-year-old male trotters last month at The Meadowlands and returns to The Big M on Friday (Sept. 5) aiming to come out on top in the $250,000 New Jersey Classic final for the freshman boys.
