Nimble New Zealand-breds took center stage at Batavia Downs as they won the top two paces of the week on Saturday (Oct. 12) night.

The pacer Congressional and the trotter Asteroid proved the best in their respective $18,500 fast-class features on a sunny Saturday afternoon (Oct. 12) at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania.

Shenandoah Downs hosted a pair of United States Drivers Club (USHDC) events on Saturday (Oct. 12) with Stacey McLenaghan and Kevin Altig each reaching the winner’s circle.

Trainer Ron Burke went two-for-two in the first round of the MGM Grand Prix Trotting Series on Friday night (Oct. 11) at MGM Yonkers Raceway, taking the $75,000 divisions with It’s Academic and Chapercraz.

Big Box Hanover flexed his muscles again at Plainridge Park after taking down seven opponents to win his third consecutive $25,000 Open Handicap trot on Friday (Oct. 11) afternoon.
