Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 7-10, Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012
Last night’s opening night card looked wide open and certainly was. Only three favorites won on the card and there was a $240 winner and another longshot paid $107. Tonight’s card is also wide open.
$1 play: 15/56/4610/68= $24
Analysis:
Race 7: Good race. (5) Electrofire makes first start off the claim by Casie Coleman and she has big numbers with her claims. I’m also using (1) Wayne The Lefty, a solid grinder who always gives his all.
Race 8: Wide open B-1 pace. I’m using two of my contenders, (5) Trend Spotter is the sharp Burke pacer with the versatility to race on or off the pace. (6) Takemewithyou has won at this track and is in form.
Race 9: (4) A Sweet Ride had post eight at Yonkers last time, a tough spot, but prior efforts were sharp. (10) Grams Legacy gets post 10 but faces weaker and won three in a row before tiring against tougher in last. (6) Mortal Zin ships in sharp for the Burke barn.
Race 10: (8) Dinner Guest is the morning line favorite and my top pick here. He was racing well against good $40,000 claimers at Yonkers and trainer Rene Allard does very well with his claimers. I’m also using (6) Line Officer, a horse that is in form and has won over this track.
