Bob Pandolfo offers his picks for the $50,000 Pick-4 at Meadowlands Racetrack on Feb. 23, part of the U.S. Trotting Association Strategic Wagering Program. Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 6-9, Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012 I didn’t hit Saturday night, minus $16, which brings the total to minus $351 for the first 20 nights; I haven’t hit one so far this meet. I had Giddy Up Delight Saturday night, who paid $30.60 in the ninth race, but not the other winners in the Pick-4. $1 play: 7/469/10/58 = $6 Analysis: Race 6: (7) Oscar Oscar won last easier than it looks on paper. This is a competitive Rags To Riches event and a good race but I’m going to single this pacer, who is thriving for his new connections. Race 7: (6) Kentucky Rebel has 40 career wins, including five in a row this year, and will be a short price again here but I’m also using (4) Alastair Hanover, used against the bias in last, and (9) Twinscape, second start for Burke off the layoff. Race 8: This is a competitive event. (10) Rockin Glass had pace on both ends leaving from post eight in last, his first start over the track. I’m going to take a shot and single him despite post 10. Race 9: (8) Red Light returns off six week layoff for Erv Miller and drops; Miller often wins off qualifiers. (5) Westside Lindy had trot finishing in his qualifier.
