Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 6-9, Friday, May 4, 2012
I didn’t hit the last night of the winter meet, minus $6, which brought the total to minus $667 for the 41 nights. I had the first three winners but missed the 7-1 winner of the last leg. My average ticket for the winter meet was a modest $16, which obviously didn’t pan out. I came close a couple of times and got within a nose of hitting one for several thousand.
For the summer meet I’m going to try more realistic, and more creative, tickets to see how that works out but be forewarned that even with much more of a spread, it’s still hard to hit a Pick-4 at this track. Tonight I’ve come up with two tickets and each one has a different single.
$1 play: 3/1810/578/238 = $27
$1 play: 3468/1810/8/238 = $36
Analysis:
Race 6: (3) Pirouette Hanover is an obvious single despite the layoff but I used four horses on the second ticket because I’m not that confident and if she loses the price will be big.
Race 7: Wide open race. My top pick (10) Kenda has post 10 but is sharply improved but I think (1) Ghirardelli Lindy and (8) Take Heart both have solid chances and this race is wide open.
Race 8: (8) Blackjack Princess ships in sharp from Pocono where she was facing some good fields and she can leave fast. I singled her on one ticket and used three here on the other ticket.
Race 9: Another wide open race, I used three horses and I’m not confident that I have the race covered. My top pick (2) Double Up Hanover broke against tougher in last.
