Pat Salerno, 81, passed away Friday morning (Aug. 26) after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. A long time horsemen, Pat was also the former Executive Director of the Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association of New Jersey and the Pennsylvania Harness Horsemen’s Association. Pat was well respected throughout harness racing for his many years of dedicated service to the horsemen and to the industry that he loved. He will be missed by all.

Funeral arrangements have not yet been finalized. Further details will soon follow.
