Columbus, MN — Minnesota Harness Racing Inc. hosted its annual meeting and awards banquet at Running Aces Casino, Hotel & Racetrack on Saturday (Feb. 21) and conducted voting among the attending membership for the honor of 2025 Horse of the Year.
Peanutbutterfalcon (Quality Kemp-Lindy’s On Fire), who captured the crown as the 2025 3-year-old colt trotter of the year by earning a record setting $136,580 in the Minnesota program during his sophomore campaign, has added the title of Horse of the Year to his impressive résumé.

Peanutbutterfalcon had 12 wins from 13 starts at Running Aces in 2025 and was a winner on Night of Champions in 1:57.1, which equaled his career-best clocking.
He was also the champion freshman male trotter in 2024, and his spectacular 2025 campaign pushed his career bankroll to $220,355 for owner/breeder Jeralene Roland and trainer Dan Roland. Rick Magee was the regular pilot for Peanutbutterfalcon during his 2025 season.
The other horses considered for Horse of the Year honors by the attending MHRI members were Baby Flash, Spiritofanoutlaw, Miss May Bell, Starstruck Fool, Set Free and Al-Mar Flash Over.
