by Ed Kobesky, Director of Media & Marketing, Pennsylvania Harness Horsemen’s Association

Harrisburg, PA — Earl Beal, Jr., President of the Pennsylvania Harness Horsemen’s Association, today announced the launch of www.paharnessweek.com.

Visitors to the new Web site can watch archived episodes of the PA HarnessWeek TV show, which airs first on Comcast SportsNet (Philadelphia region) on Saturdays at 1:00 p.m. through August 23. The site also includes more information on the show and its on-air hosts and production team.

In addition, visitors to the Web site can download a new issue of the PA HarnessWeek Online Edition each week throughout the show’s season. The free newsletter includes columns from Millard S. Beatty III, handicapper for the Delco Times newspaper and Vice President of the US Harness Writer’s Association Keystone Chapter, and Jim Beviglia, track announcer for Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.

“Pennsylvania harness racing is becoming more exciting and competitive by the day, and we want fans to come along for the ride,” said Mr. Beal. “The new PA HarnessWeek Web site allows fans everywhere to get the inside track and also revisit their favorite moments from the 2008 season.”

Mr. Beal added, “We are particularly looking forward to the countdown to Super Stakes Sunday on August 17 at Harrah’s Chester. Viewers can expect full coverage of the richest day in Pennsylvania racing — $2.3 million in total purses for the Battle of the Brandywine, Colonial Trot and Valley Forge Pace.”

PA HarnessWeek is a weekly half-hour television program executive produced by the Pennsylvania Harness Horsemen’s Association in cooperation with Harrah’s Chester Racetrack & Casino and Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs. The show is produced by two-time Emmy Award winner Bruce Casella, former throughbred host and producer for ESPN, and hosted by racing veteran Frank Ross alongside Shannon DiAnotnio, on-air racing analyst for Harrah’s Chester. Each episode features a recap of the week’s harness racing highlights as well as segments on upcoming races, owner, driver and trainer profiles, human interest stories and rare, historic race footage from Brandywine and Libery Bell. During the 2008 season, the show will air weekly through August 23 on Comcast SportsNet (Philadelphia region) at 1:00 p.m.
