Yonkers, NY — The completely-renovated Yonkers Raceway owner/trainer/driver lounge debuts Saturday night, June 7, when live racing returns from a late-spring break. Post time for the 11-race card is 7:40 p.m.

Tables overlooking the track are one of the features of the renovated lounge.

Cocktails and and Hors D’ourves shall be served from 6:00-9:00 p.m. The lounge features six self-service wagering machines, 10 brand-new televisions and many tables overlooking the track.

For those who can’t make the Saturday preview, the lounge is scheduled to be opened next Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings (June 12-14).

Please be advised that visitors are required to hold current New York State racing licenses, and are required to have a horse racing that particular evening. However, that latter rule shall be relaxed for the Saturday opening. Also, admission to the lounge (licensees and their guests) shall be at the discretion of the presiding judge.

Yonkers’ five-night-per-week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday) schedule resumes next week, with the new Saturday first post (6:50 p.m.) taking effect June 14. Evening simulcasting accompanies all live programs, with afternoon simulcasting available around the NYRA schedule.

“Dark night” evening simulcasting continues this (Friday) evening, with afternoon simulcasting — including advance wagering on Saturday’s 140th running of the Belmont Stakes — also available.
