Nichols, NY — PL Princess C and driver Jeff Long won the featured $11,000 fillies and mares pace at Tioga Downs on Friday (May 30).
PL Princess C ($5.90) went straight to the front and led to the quarter in :27.2. She used a :28.3 second quarter and was first to the half in :56. Huntressville A (Braxten Boyd) came first-up to challenge going down the backstretch. PL Princess C led to three-quarters in 1:25.4.
As they reached the stretch, third-place finisher Won Surreal Deal (Tyler Miller) slipped through on the inside as second-place finisher Huntressville A kept charging on the outside. PL Princess C dug in and won, equaling her lifetime best of 1:52.2.

PL Princess C is a 6-year-old mare by Thinking Out Loud. She is trained by Paul Long for owners Jeff and Charlene Long. It was her third win this season and the 22nd of her career.
Braxten Boyd had a driving hat trick; Aaron Byron had a driving double.
