Pompano Beach, FL — The Isle Pompano Park’s three leading drivers, Bruce Ranger, Wally Hennessey and Dan Clements made a special appearance Saturday morning (September 27) at the grand re-opening of Manoochi’s Dunkin Donuts at Powerline Road and Gateway Drive, a half-mile from the racetrack in Pompano Beach.

The drivers signed autographs, posed with customers for photographs and also assisted with the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new facility that features lounge seating and even a private meeting room/conference suite. In honor of the occasion, owner Manoochi Fallah presented a check on behalf of the three drivers for $500 to Our Father’s House Soup Kitchen in Pompano Beach.

“This was great today,” said driver Wally Hennessey. “People were surprised to come in here and see the horse and sulky and then get to meet drivers from the track. It was a good cross promotion for both racing and Dunkin Donuts. I enjoyed meeting so many new people and talking about harness racing with them.”

Track management was also on hand for the festivities along with Pompano Beach City Commissioner Barry Dockswell and Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce President Ric Green. There was even a life-size harness horse display with a race sulky for photographs along with “Cuppy,” the new coffee cup mascot for Dunkin Donuts.

Saturday night, Cuppy, along with Dunkin Donuts owner Manoochi Fallah presented a blanket to the winning horse in the sixth race pace.

During the month of September for the opening of the Isle Pompano Park, anyone who brings a losing pari-mutuel ticket to Manoochi’s Dunkin Donuts will receive a choice of a free coffee or free donut and anyone who purchases a coffee or donut and brings the receipt to the Isle Pompano Park will receive a free live race program.
