Solvalla, SE — This year’s auction in connection with the Elitlopp showed an increase in the average price of no less than 27%, and 83% of the yearlings that went through the ring found new owners.
Six yearlings were sold for more than 1 million SEK ($104,000 US) – last year, it was only two yearlings.
The auction’s most expensive horse was the stallion Welcome Tile (sired by Face Time Bourbon), which Lennart Aagren, SRF Stable, bought for 2,750,000 SEK ($287,000 US) – the second most expensive was the filly Oil Painting (sired by Chapter Seven), which trainer Roger Walmann bought for 1,900,000 SEK ($198,000 US).
The average price was 327,500 SEK ($34,160 US), while the median price reached 200,000 SEK (20,800 US).
