Nichols, NY — Powered By Mach (Jim Pantaleano) captured the $8,000 featured fillies & mares’ pace at Tioga Downs on Friday (August 15).
Cowgirl Lilly (Mike Merton) was first to the quarter in :27. Powered By Mach ($3.80) took over control and led to the half in :55.4. Virtual Kiss (Kyle Dibenedetto) came first-up to challenge going down the backstretch. Powered By Mach was first to three quarters in 1:24.0.
Powered By Mach turned up the power and won easily in 1:53.1. Virtual Kiss had to settle for second money. Arrive In Style (Tom Merton) finished third.
Powered By Mach is an 8-year-old mare by Mach Three. She is owned by Fox Racing and trained by Frank Calcagni. It was her fourth win this season. She now has 30 career victories.
Greg Merton had a driving triple. Cameron Capone had a training double.
