Racing concludes at Henry County Fair in Napoleon, Ohio

Napoleon, OH — The harness racing program at the Henry County Fair in Napoleon, Ohio, concluded Wednesday night (Aug. 14) with a nine-race card. Four colt and filly stakes along with five overnight races provided the evening’s entertainment.

Mark Headworth piloted Happy Go Jamie (His Highness-Party Doll) to victory in the 2-year-old colt trot. Headworth also trains the gelding and co-owns him with Steve Bateson. Happy Go Jamie’s winning time was 2:07.4.

Our Little Emmy (Stand Forever-Expensive Cammie) came home first in the 3-year-old filly pace after a mile in 2:03.2. Tom Marts, Jr. trains and drives the filly and also co-owns her with his daughter, Angela Ott.

Emil Konesky’s Maudeenflat (Leblon Flat-Mrs Sizzle) took the 2-year-old filly trot in 2:12. Mark Headworth trains and drives Maudeenflat.

Mark Headworth was back in the winner’s circle with Forever Kissed (Stand Forever-Western Kisser) after capturing the 3-year-old colt pace. Bill Webb trains the gelding and also co-owns him with Denny Miller. Forever Kissed covered the Henry County Fair twice-around in 2:02.2.

Harness racing will resume in the Northwestern Ohio Colt Racing Association at the Defiance County Fair in Hicksville. Racing will take place at Hicksville on Tuesday (Aug. 20) and Friday (Aug. 23) with a 6:30 p.m. post time each evening.
