Wauseon, OH — The Fulton County Fair at Wauseon, Ohio, completed its two-day meet with a nine-race program on Tuesday night (September 6). The Ohio Fairs Fund 2-year-old and 3-year-old filly stakes along with the Earl Hallett Memorial Free For All Trot highlighted the evening.
Ben Ott’s Friskie D (Feelin Friskie-Double E Hanover) took the 2-year-old filly pace in 2:05.1. Tom Marts, Jr. is the trainer-driver of Friskie D.
Justabout (Victory Sam-Over Proximity) captured the 3-year-old filly trot in 2:03.2. Tom Moore, Jr. is the filly’s trainer-driver with Tom Moore, Sr. picking up the expenses.
Owner Ben Ott and trainer-driver Tom Marts, Jr. returned to the winner’s circle after Our Little Filly (Towner’s Big Guy-Two-fifty-seven) came home first in the 3-year-old filly pace. Our Little Filly circled the Wauseon oval in 1:59.
Trainer-driver John Konesky III steered Lofty Jessica (Jailhouse Jesse-Lofty Comer) to victory in the 2-year-old filly trot. Konesky co-owns Lofty Jessica with his son Patrick. The filly took 2:07.2 to complete her mile.
Rose Run Kermit won the $4,800 Earl Hallett Memorial Free For All Trot in 1:59.3. Walter Bellows is the gelding’s owner and trainer with Mark Headworth picking up the winning catch-drive.
Harness racing will conclude in the Northwestern Ohio Colt Racing Association for 2011 with racing at the Williams County Fair at Montpelier. Racing at Montpelier will take place on Sunday (September 11) with a 12 noon post time and on Tuesday (September 13) with a 6:30 p.m. start.
