Caviart Tyler scored a 42-1 upset win in Sunday’s feature race at Dover Downs.

With Corey Callahan in the bike, Tom Cooke’s Dragon Again-Caviart Sierra gelding, trained by Bib Roberts, pulled a big surprise in the day’s top pacing event. High Joltage (Ben Stafford Jr.) came on to finish second. PW Rainbow (Jim Morand) was the third place horse.

Sean Bier guided CC’s Double to his second consecutive victory coming from off-the-pace to take the lead in the lane and breeze home in 1:56.1 for Robbins Next Farm Inc. Trained by Crissy Crissman, CC’s Fred was followed home by Political Muscle (Brad Hanners) and Mandabra (Corey Callahan) in the day’s top trot.

The meet-long battle for first place in the dash-win standings continues. Defending champion Corey Callahan and Ron Pierce each won two races and continue in a deadlock for first place with 222 wins apiece. Brad Hanners also had a double.

Saratoga Casino and Raceway
Driver Stephane Bouchard has become a regular at Saratoga Casino and Raceway and on Sunday the talented reinsman completed a big weekend. Bouchard had a strong Saturday evening, with three wins and three second place finishes and followed that up with a big effort during Sunday’s matinee. Bouchard made four trips to the winner’s circle on Sunday, piloting three winners on the card for trainer Kelly Clark. Blue Collar Raider, Star Studded Gun and Western Mac comprised the hat trick for the Bouchard-Clark combo who also teamed up for a winner on Saturday with Garner Seelster. Bouchard, who came to Saratoga as the regular driver for trainer Mark Ford, drove a pair of winners for the Ford stable this weekend. Master Of Desire scored the leg one win in the Battle of Saratoga #4 pacing series that got underway on Saturday and the Bouchard-Ford combo teamed up for a Sunday score with veteran pacer Roxie’s Big Guy, who prevailed in wire-to-wire fashion in 1:55.2. Bouchard appears poised to make a run up the driver’s standings in the near future at the Spa.
