The best trotters in Western New York provided plenty of excitement for race fans during the second Friday of the meet, especially if you were able to pick the winner of the featured $9,000 Open Handicap trot. Bankers Dream, sent off as the longest shot on the board, roared down the center of the racetrack to score in the weekly trotting feature in 1:59 at odds of 20-1, ahead of Welding Spark D and Heaven and Hall. Troy Boring was in the sulky for trainer D J Millner and owner, lessee, Melinda Kash. Bankers Dream, a 6-year-old gelding by Dream Vacation, raised his career earnings to $82,000 with the victory.
