Ralph DeMarco Sr. was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 11, 1931 and passed away peacefully in Stamford, NY on January 14, 2025 at the age of 93.
He began working with horses in 1962 at Roosevelt Raceway for Hugh Bell. In 1968 he got his License and won his first Amateur Race in Goshen, NY.
He trained his own stable and drove for 30 years until 1998. He mainly raced in Freehold, Atlantic City, Meadowlands, Liberty Bell, Dover, Poconos, Monticello and Saratoga. His favorite horse was a family Homebread named Billie Roan.
He is survived by a Son, Ralph DeMarco Jr, and 2 Daughters, Jean Wargo and Maureen Vance. Also a Grandfather and Great Grandfather to more than a dozen children. His Remains will be cremated and be scattered at the Goshen Historic track Finish Line.
