On Tuesday, January 3, Northfield Park is again offering a $10,000 guaranteed Pick-4 pool. Northfield Park’s Pick-4 starts in race eight and offers a 14 percent takeout rate (the lowest in harness racing).

Analysis:

Race 8: (1) Chang Dynasty drops in class, draws the rail and looks to destroy his competition.

Race 9: (3) TKR’s Metro Specs has raced well at this level of competition; one of several in here who could get it all. (4) Cam’s Golden Boy has proven to be competent at this level of competition; one of several with a shot. (7) Rock’n Roll Queen. Anything Virgil Morgan trains is worthy of consideration; has a chance if she stays flat.

Race 10: (2) Blue Rock Joe just missed last start and drops in class tonight. (3) Hare Force Two may be the fastest in here but does not appear to like the turns. (7) Gyraider has been racing well for the Langley barn but has been getting terrible trips; looks for better racing luck.

Race 11: (1) It’s A Sham has the inside advantage and is a major player for the top prize. (4) Polo Clyde was third from post eight last start; could get it all from post four.
