Sunday’s two Group 1 races at Vincennes once again demonstrated that Ready Cash remains the most influential stallion in French, perhaps even European, trotting breeding today.
Not only did his daughter, the French filly Liza Josselyn, win the 4‑year‑old race Criterium Continental, but the next two finishers were descendants of Face Time Bourbon (sired by Ready Cash): the Italian Frank Gio and the Swedish La Yuca.
In the 5‑year‑old race, Prix Ténor de Baune, victory went to the Swedish Epic Kronos, a son of Muscle Hill. His dam, the French mare Firefly, was sired by Ready Cash.
The runner‑up, the Swedish Immortal Doc, is by Brillantissime (sired by Ready Cash), and the third- and fourth‑place finishers, Italy’s Executiv Ek and France’s Krack Time Atout, are both by the aforementioned Face Time Bourbon (sired by Ready Cash).
Ready Cash passed away in August 2023. He remained available via frozen semen in 2024, meaning his final foals were born this year
