Lexington, KY — Santa Croce made a surprise visit to The Red Mile winner’s circle on Saturday in the International Stallion Stakes for 2-year-old trotting fillies.

When the daughter of Father Patrick stuck her nose in front on the wire, though she was fifth choice in the wagering, she was deeply separated in the win pool from the top four and her $83.62 win payoff provided an additional bonanza for the Send It In Army on Sunday.

With no winning tickets sold on the 5-7-7-3 combination, a huge carryover of $8,963.71 will present itself to the Army for the first Pick-4 on the Sunday card, beginning in the sixth race.

Originally with a $20.000 guaranteed pool, the Pick-4 on the Kentucky Futurity Day race six Pick-4 will be doubled to $40,000,

Other guarantees during Futurity Day include a $10,000 guaranteed pool on the 20-cent Pick-6 beginning in the first race (12 percent takeout), a $10,000 guaranteed pool in the Pick-5 beginning in the third race (12 percent takeout), the aforementioned Pick-4 with a carryover of close to $9,000 and a $40,000 guarantee starting in race six, the eighth race Pick-5 with a $10,000 guarantee, a $20,000 guaranteed trifecta pool in the Kentucky Filly Futurity, a late Pick-4 with a $10,000 guaranteed pool and a mandatory payout and a $20,000 trifecta pool for the 131st edition of the Kentucky Futurity.
