Roland St Pierre, 66, dies

Columbus, OH — Roland (T-Joe) Joseph St. Pierre, 66, of Rochester, N.H., died Jan. 27, 2011, in South Carolina.

Born March 18, 1944, in Berwick, Maine, he was the son of the late Joseph and Albertine (Fillion) St. Pierre.

Mr. St. Pierre loved his family and friends. He also had a real passion in the training and racing of Standardbreds, spending his summers in New Hampshire and the winters in South Carolina and Florida, making great loyal friends along the way. He was always quick to offer his well-known special cherries to all the visitors that came to see him at the stable.

He is survived by his children, Chris (Lisa), Jason (Melissa), Sarina and Justine Jerome; grandchildren, Brianna, Blythe Landry and Ariyanna Allen; siblings, Mark, Theresa (Charlie) Lesperance, Rita, Doris, Janet (Smokey) Stover and Lorraine Dubois; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Norman and Kenneth; and sister, Lucille.

A wake will be held Thursday, Feb. 3, from 6-8 p.m. at the R. M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 S. Main Street, Rochester, NH 03867. A funeral service will be held Friday, Feb. 4, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will be in the Holy Rosary Cemetery, Rochester, N.H., in the spring.
