Sand Vic to Winbak of New York

Dover, DE — Sand Vic, 1:51.2 ($2,117,382), will join the stallion ranks at Winbak of New York in 2008.

Sand Vic was an outstanding racehorse from his 2-year-old season, when he won nine of 14 races with three seconds and earnings of $206,624, to his 5-year-old season, when he was a dominant trotter in 2006, winning almost every major trotting event in the United States and Canada in which he competed.

Sand Vic was voted the 2006 U.S. Harness Writers Association’s coveted Dan Patch Award, after winning 10 of 18 starts and $1,130,380 in purses. Sand Vic’s major victories came in the $800,000 Breeders Crown in 1:52.3, the $300,000 Nat Ray in 1:51.3, $200,000 Titan Cup in 1:51.2, $200,000 American-National in 1:51.4, $180,000 Allerage Farm 1:51.4, and $175,000 Cutler Memorial in 1:53.

Sand Vic will stand his first season for an introductory fee of $5,000.
