Nichols, NY — Tioga Downs played host for two divisions of the New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) for 2-year-old pacing fillies on Sunday (July 20).
Savage Cindy (Tyler Buter) fired late to win the $54,500 first division.

Odds On Enigma (Matt Kakaley) went to the front and led to the quarter in :26.3. She used a :30.0 second quarter to be first to the half in :56.3. Surreal Spirit (Leon Bailey) came first-up going down the backstretch and took over the lead and was first to three-quarters in 1:25.
As they made the turn for home second place finisher Surreal Spirit widened the lead, but Savage Cindy ($9.40) would run her down in deep stretch to get her first career win in 1:54. Party Pumps (Braxten Boyd) finished third.
Savage Cindy is a 2-year-old filly by Huntsville-Naughty Cindy. She is owned by Scarlett Stables and trained by Ed Hart.
Liberty Style (Jason Bartlett) smoked the field in the $55,500 second division.

Liberty Style ($11.60) took the lead to the quarter in :27.2. She used a :29.2 second quarter and led to the half in :56.4. The race favorite Miss Genie May (Tyler Buter) came first-up going down the backside but was just spinning her wheels. Liberty Style was first to three-quarters in 1:24.3.
As they reached the stretch Liberty Style won going away in a lifetime best of 1:52.1. Odds On Monetary (Matt Kakaley) was a distant second. Brooklyn Bombshell (Jordan Stratton) finished third.
Liberty Style is a 2-year-old filly by American Ideal-Fly In Style. She is owned by Bonnie Benson and trainer Andrew Stafford. It was her second career win.
Tioga Downs returns to live racing on Friday (July 25) with a post time of 6:15 p.m.
