Campbellville, ON — Luke Schenn, star defenseman for the Toronto Maple Leafs, will be the special celebrity drawmaster for this year’s C$1.5 million Pepsi North America Cup post position draw.

Schenn will be on hand to assist with the noon event on Tuesday, June 14, at Mohawk Racetrack. The NA Cup will take place Saturday, June 18, at the Campbellville track.

The native of Saskatoon began his junior hockey career with the Kelowna Rockets in the 2005-2006 season and won a World Junior gold medal in 2008.

Schenn was then drafted in the first round, fifth overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2008 entry draft. Since then, the 21-year-old is coming off the best season of his young career with five goals and 18 assists in 82 games.

The Pepsi North America Cup is the richest race for pacers in North America.
