Freehold, NJ — Check Me Out, last year’s Dan Patch champion 3-year-old trotting filly, is due to resume training soon, says trainer and co-owner Ray Schnittker.

Check Me Out has banked $1,855,945 for owners Ray Schnittker and Charles Iannazzo.

“She’s turned out, but I’ll bring her in a week or two from now and hopefully get her back (to the races) by the end of July.”

The daughter of Donato Hanover-Illusion Bi is turned out at Schnittker’s farm outside Goshen, N.Y., and is being pointed for the stakes races and the Breeders Crown in the latter part of the season.

Her 2013 training regimen will include time under saddle, says Schnittker.

“She enjoys that.”

Asked if the filly, who became a mare on her last birthday, has changed physically from last season, Schnittker was quick to answer, “She’s fatter, that’s about it.”
