Schnittker, Tetrick special guests on CTC night at Mohawk

Campbellville, ON — Mohawk Racetrack will host more world class stakes action again this Saturday (September 13) with the C$1 million Canadian Trotting Classic — Canada’s Hambletonian — as the main event.

The great Deweycheatumnhowe, who suffered his first career loss in last weekend’s elimination, will attempt to rebound from post 10 in the final. Crazed was the horse who knocked him off and it gave him the luxury of choosing post three for this week.

Dewey’s co-owner/trainer/driver, Ray Schnittker, will be on hand to meet and greet fans during a special autograph session starting at 6:00 p.m. A commemorative Deweycheatumnhowe collector postcard, supplied in association with the USTA, will be given out to fans as they arrive at the track.

Crazed’s driver, Tim Tetrick, will join Greg Blanchard and Mike Hamilton for another ‘Talking Track’ seminar from 6:00 p.m.-6:45 p.m. Tetrick established a new standard for wins and earnings in a single season last year and is on pace to break the all-time earnings record again this year with $20 million in his sights.

Saturday is also Family Fun Night at Mohawk with live entertainment, children’s food specials and all sorts of fun activities planned for young and old alike.

Doors open early at Mohawk at 5:30 p.m. and post time for the first race is 7:30 p.m.
