Ride A Rocketship soared to victory in the 2-year-old pace with Will Roland in the bike. The gelding didn’t have to travel far to get to the races on the opening night of the fair. He is owned by Gretchen Springer and trained by Roland on their farm east of Floris, Iowa.

The Huffman stable had two wins with driver Rob Anderson. Just B Talking won the 3-year-old pace and Juxta Antz Pantz won the Free-For-All pace for owners Rick and CD Huffman of Sigourney, Iowa and Larry Mather of Webster, Iowa.
