Nichols, NY — Tioga Downs played host for two divisions of the New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) for 2-year-old trotting colts & geldings on Sunday (August 10).
Seven Grand (Ake Svandstedt) took the $53,500 first division.

Seven Grand ($8.50) went to the front and led to the quarter in :28.3. He slowed things down using a :30.1 second quarter to be first to the half in :58.4. Chapter Geo J (Jason Bartlett) came first-up heading down the backstretch. Seven Grand led to three quarters in 1:27.1.
As they reached the stretch second place finisher Chapter Geo J went all out after the lead, but he could not get to Seven Grand who won easily in 1:56.2. Big favorite AI (Tyler Buter) finished third.
Seven Grand is a 2-year-old colt by Chapter Seven-Frannie Hanover. He is owned by Little E LLC., Soderberg Bloodstock, Van Camp Trotting Corp, and trainer Svanstedt. It was his first career win.
Titans Mischief (Matt Kakaley) captured the $52,500 second division.
Read The Room (Ake Svanstedt) was first to the quarter in :27.1. He flew to the half in :56. Titans Mischief ($5.80) then made his move heading down the backstretch and led to three-quarters in 1:24.4.

As they made the turn for home second place finisher Who’s Eyes Blues (Tyler Buter) became the major danger, but Titans Mischief had the jump and won in a lifetime best of 1:55.2. Hezagoldmine (Braxten Boyd) finished third.
Titans Mischief is a 2-year-old colt by EL Titan-Morosita Bi. He is owned by B Clarke Racing and John Coffey while being trained by Bruce Clarke. It was his second career win.
Jason Bartlett had a driving grand slam. He got his wins with Livonjaxandqueens, You Oughta Know, Stonebridge Reef, and Dean B Hanover.
Tioga Downs returns to live racing on Friday (August 15) with a post time of 6:15 p.m.
