Fort Washington, MD – Mark Howard’s Sheer Terror rolled to the early lead from his outside post and made every pole a winning one in Monday’s (Sept. 15) $12,000 Open Handicap Pace at Rosecroft Raceway, stopping the clock in 1:50.2 and extending his win streak to three.

Reunited with driver Jonathan Roberts, the 5-year-old Always B Miki-Economy Terror gelding looped a two-wide Babes All In (driven by Jared Moyer) on the first turn before clearing stablemate On The Cards N (Johnathan Ahle) at the end of a :26.1 first quarter. From there, Sheer Terror was in complete control, posting middle splits of :54.4 and 1:22.1 before keeping his stablemate a half length at bay for his ninth win of the season. Babes All In rallied for third, another 5-1/2 lengths behind, after retreating into midfield.
Willard Reynolds trains 20-time winner Sheer Terror, who paid $4.40 to win as the 6-5 favorite.
Roger Plante Jr. led all drivers with four wins on the 13-race card; Roberts fashioned a triple.
