Sheridan wins pair in MADC action at Big M

East Rutherford, NJ — With just two MADC races and perfect weather conditions on Saturday night (May 25) at The Meadowlands, Newton “Yogi” Sheridan pulled out the double victory and both at good prices.

In the first race on the card, it was a quarter move by Muscle Factory A and Sheridan and they were able to hold on to the victory in a fast mile of 1:51.2. Rock On Line (Tony Verruso) finished second while El Yerno (Tony Beltrami) rounded out the trifecta.

The winner is a 9-year-old horse co-owned by Sheridan with Team Tritton Inc. and is trained by Shane Tritton.

In the fifth race, when the inside opened up in the stretch, it was a patient drive with longshot Majestic Kiwi N by Sheridan who got up by 2-1/4 lengths and paid a generous $29.20 to win. Way To Close (Beltrami), who set ambitious fractions, held on for second while Rock Jagger (John Calabrese) rounded out the trifecta. This mile was paced in 1:53.2.

The winner is a 10-year-old gelding trained by Paul Blumenfeld and is owned by Mr. Jordan Schafer.

The MADC races will be back next Friday at the Big M with a first post scheduled for 6:20 p.m.
