Nichols, NY — Slip The Hundy N (Mike Merton) took the $12,000 featured pace at Tioga Downs on Sunday (July 7).

Slip The Hundy N ($10.80) went to the front and led to the quarter in :27.2. He used a :29.1 second quarter to be first to the half in :56.3. Ever Hoping A (Ron Cushing) came first-up and challenged for the lead all the way down the backstretch but Slip The Hundy N was first to thee-quarters in 1:23.3.

Slip The Hundy N shook off Ever Hoping A as they reached the stretch. Stewardoftheland (Jim Taggert Jr.) popped the pocket and came all out after the leader but Slip The Hundy N found another gear and breezed to an easy win in 1:51.4. Mach Le More A (John MacDonald) fired late and finished second while Stewardoftheland had to settle for third.

Slip The Hundy N is a 7-year-old gelding by Lincoln Royal. He is owned by Michael Casalino Jr. and trained by Rob Harmon. It was his sixth win this season. He now has 21 career victories.

Mike Merton drove three winners on the card. Braxten Boyd and Jim Pantaleano had driving doubles. Rob Harmon had a training double.
