Yonkers, NY — The 2016 SOA of NY/Yonkers Raceway scholarship application is due May 13.

Interested applicants can download the 2016 application at the SOA of NY website, www.soaofny.com. A full copy of the rules is also posted on the site.

The SOA/Yonkers Raceway scholarship awards a $5,000 top prize as well as a second prize of $3,000 and a third prize of $2,000.

The annual SOA/Yonkers Raceway scholarships are awarded to SOA members, or members of their immediate families, or to covered individuals (backstretch personnel) or a member of their immediate families, for study beyond the high school level. The recipient is chosen on the basis of merit and financial need.
