Grove City, OH –– Five divisions of 3-year-old filly pacers will hit the track on Thursday (June 22) at Scioto Downs, searching for a win in the third leg of the Buckeye Stallion Series. A total of $100,000 will be on the line with each division being $20,000.

Previous leg winners High Flyin’ Filly, Onederfulbeach, and Racing For Three are entered.

In the second division, Onederfulbeach is 4-1 on the morning line and has post two. The daughter of Beachtrea won the second leg of the Buckeye Stallion Series at Northfield Park on May 27. Aaron Merriman will have the lines for owner/trainer Chris Beaver. Out of seven starts in 2023, she has hit the board six times, with two wins, two places, and two shows, earning $23,950,

Somewherunderheavn is the early favorite at 5-2 in the second division for trainer Steve Carter and driver Austin Hanners. Out of 15 starts, the Noble Hill High filly has hit the board 14 times, bankrolling $64,575.

High Flyin’ Filly and Racing For Three will compete head to head in the fourth division of the Buckeye Stallion Series. The early favorite at 5-2 is High Flyin’ Filly from post eight. Chris Page has the assignment for trainer Ron Burke. Out of 15 starts for the season, the daughter of Domethatagain has hit the board 14 times and has earned $69,379. She captured the second leg of the Buckeye Stallion Series at Northfield Park on May 27.

Racing For Three will be starting from post seven at 4-1 morning line odds. Tyler Smith will drive for trainer AJ Carlo. In six starts, half have been wins with one third place finish. The Western Terror filly has secured $29,120 in 2023 for the ownership duo of Carlo Racing and C2G Stable.

Two of the previous leg winners, Angel Hill and Apple Martini, are not entered in the third leg of the Buckeye Stallion Series.
