Nichols, NY – The Southern Tier Harness Horsemen’s Association (STHHA) is proud to announce new incentives for the 2025 racing season at Tioga Downs.
Beginning with opening night on Saturday, May 3 with a special 5 p.m. post time, the STHHA will provide new incentives to participate at Tioga Downs.
Beginning with opening night, the STHHA is offering $100 per horse that finishes 6-9 in all overnight events and will also pay the NYS starting fee of $27.50 per horse for all members. To receive these benefits, all parties involved in the horse must be members of the STHHA. All owners and the trainer of said horse must have current 2025 membership prior to the horse racing. The membership fee is only $31 to receive these benefits.

Some of the other benefits of being an STHHA member include a retirement program, health insurance, laundry room on the backstretch, a six-horse equisizer for those stabled on the grounds. The benefits also include a 3% bonus for those trainers stabled on the track or at an approved facility by the STHHA.
